Long Way Home Adoptables is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that was founded in 2014 as a division of Long Way Home, Inc. We are dedicated to rescuing senior and medical needs dogs and cats from Texas shelters. Our mission is to provide these animals with the love and care they deserve until they can find their forever home, regardless of age, breed, size, or medical condition.

As a mental health professional, Amanda is passionate about the role that animals play in a person's health and well-being. She even has a therapy dog, Bailey, who is a fan favorite among her clients.

Karen serves as our community liaison where she handles our voucher requests and meets with local partners. She has volunteered with Long Way Home Adoptables since 2016 and is passionate about our mission. Karen is also a member of our board of directors where she uses her years of business management skills to help ensure LWHA remains organized and efficient in our processes.
Gigi serves as our media coordinator and you have likely seen her face on KBTX's The Three with our Pet of the Week! She first volunteered with LWHA through the TAMU PAWS service organization at Texas A&M in Fall 2024 and fell in love with our organization and its mission.
Halle serves as our technical guru and uses her expertise in project management to help the team thrive. With a long history of working with animal rescue, she immediately sought out a rescue to work with after moving to College Station to pursue her master's degree in Fall 2024. Fate brought her first foster to her and she decided to stick around!
