Ashley's career as a nurse has strengthened her advocacy skills and she is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards for this vulnerable population of animals.

As a mental health professional, Amanda is passionate about the role that animals play in a person's health and well-being. She even has a therapy dog, Bailey, who is a fan favorite among her clients.

Karen serves as our community liaison where she handles our voucher requests and meets with local partners. She has volunteered with Long Way Home Adoptables since 2016 and is passionate about our mission. Karen is also a member of our board of directors where she uses her years of business management skills to help ensure LWHA remains organized and efficient in our processes.

Gigi serves as our media coordinator and you have likely seen her face on KBTX's The Three with our Pet of the Week, or heard her voice on the radio stations we partner with! She first volunteered with LWHA through the TAMU PAWS service organization at Texas A&M in Fall 2024 and fell in love with our organization and its mission.

Halle serves as our technical guru and uses her expertise in project management to help the team thrive. With a long history of working with animal rescue, she immediately sought out a rescue to work with after moving to College Station to pursue her master's degree in Fall 2024. Fate brought her first foster to her and she decided to stick around!

Lexi serves as our fundraising and marketing coordinator, and joined our team in February 2025. She also coordinates travel for all of our animals that require a trip to get to their forever home, and she keeps up with treatments for all of our heartworm positive dogs! Lexi has been involved with animal rescue for years, and is a huge advocate for these animals!
